On June 23, 2021 members of FOP Lodge #30 were honored with the opportunity to help participate in the event : Military Honors For Forgotten Veterans. This event was a huge effort by The Cremains Project and The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 12, to provide our veterans whose remains were never claimed, with a proper and well deserved sendoff. The event was made possible through efforts by local Police agencies, The Monmouth County Sheriffs Office, Veterans and members of local communities.
Beginning in Manalapan a large procession headed to the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetary in Wrightstown N.J. with the cremains of 23 vets and two spouses. Our hero’s received the sendoff they deserve. Thank you to all who attended and participated in this very historical event and honored our fallen heroes in such a beautiful way.
